About Michael Hayes

Michael Hayes is a non-lawyer whose expertise in film development, production, and distribution makes him an ideal addition to the Spiller Law family. He is a consultant to Spiller Law's Entertainment Division.

Michael earned a Bachelors in Music from Berklee College of Music and a Masters in Creative Writing from Brown University. He has lived in Los Angeles for the last 20 years, writing scripts and producing films. As a writer, he semi-finaled in the Nicholl and finaled in the Page Awards. He's been repped by Leverage Entertainment and Zero Gravity. In 2017, he founded a film sales agency, Prolific Pictures, with his wife who had a background in film sales and is the brains behind the business.
Having the great fortune of living a few lives, Michael has also been a bookkeeper and computer programmer by trade, a house renovator and car mechanic by necessity, a bread maker, pie maker and pizza raconteur by love and need for food and hobbies that don't involve a computer. He continues to be curious about anything and everything and believes living in interesting times is not a curse but a blessing and an opportunity.
